Stratum guide

Use design review and architecture chat

Run grounded reviews against working or saved versions and continue the reasoning in persistent design conversations.

Stratum keeps AI subordinate to the architecture model. Deterministic checks establish evidence first; optional AI review and chat add judgement without silently changing the design.

Review the right design state

Choose the working design or a saved version, then select a focus such as security, scalability, reliability, data, operability, or cost. Saved-version review stays tied to that immutable architecture checkpoint.

Understand the evidence

Review findings combine structured requirements, topology, connectors, journeys, documentation, and deterministic analysis. Recommendations should distinguish observed facts, inferred risks, and missing information.

Continue in architecture chat

Conversations persist beside the design. Answers can reference exact components and connectors so users can navigate from reasoning back to the relevant architecture. Chat does not modify components, connections, or versions automatically.

Enterprise controls

  • Administrators choose the provider, model, base URL, and whether AI is enabled.
  • Provider secrets remain server-side.
  • Custom provider URL verification blocks private network targets unless explicitly allowed.
  • Per-user and per-design limits protect provider capacity.
  • Canvas, versions, reviews, and deterministic checks continue to work when AI is disabled.
