Tap the central + button. Choose a place when the idea is tied to somewhere specific, or choose add manually for everything else.
- Give the idea a clear name.
- Add a description if a little context will help future you.
- Choose its type and category, then save.
Choose a type that fits
Experience
Something you want to do or feel: attend a concert, host dinner, take a road trip or try a new activity.
Pursuit
Something you want to grow into over time: learn guitar, open a company, train for a swim or start a creative channel.
The category adds another useful lens: food, play, learning, travel and more. Merak only shows combinations that make sense for the selected type.
Organise only when it helps
An idea can stay on its own. For a bigger collection, add it to a list, such as Weekend, Bengaluru or Things to make.
Open an existing idea to add smaller parts to explore. Pursuits can use milestones for meaningful stages without streaks, scores or overdue pressure.
Keep people with the plan
Create a person once with a name and optional email address, then select them from the people picker when an idea is something you may want to share. An email is stored as private metadata; Merak does not send an invitation or message.
When an idea becomes a memory
Open the idea and choose Mark as lived. You can finish without adding a photo, or attach up to three photos from the camera or Android photo picker.
Merak records the completion date and time. The result moves into Memories as a read-only record, and its photos remain linked to the original idea. Choose several memories later to create a scrapbook image.
Find something again
Use Ideas to search titles, descriptions and tags. Filters can narrow the view by status, type, category, place or person. Grid, list and map views offer different ways to browse; the map only includes ideas that have coordinates.
Your data and connected features
Core Merak content is kept in private app storage on your device. Place search and maps use Google services when you choose those features. App Lock can use Android biometric or device-credential authentication.
