Stratum Data Sovereignty & Privacy Statement

1. Self-Hosted Server Independence

When you deploy Stratum using the distributed container images on your infrastructure:

• Instance Data Control: User accounts, architecture designs, versions, documents, reviews, configuration, and application logs are handled by your Stratum instance and configured storage.
• No Central Cloud Backdoor: Chaosphere maintains no master keys, backdoor access, or admin credentials to your instance.

2. Zero Phone-Home Telemetry

Stratum binaries and Docker containers are compiled with strict telemetry isolation:

• No Usage Tracking: Stratum does not transmit usage statistics, active user counts, or IP address logs back to Chaosphere servers.
• Offline Core Operation: The core canvas and local authentication can run in a private network. Features that you configure against external systems, such as an AI provider, Okta, Prometheus, or MCP clients, require connectivity to those systems.

3. Instance Administrator Responsibility

Because you own and operate your Stratum deployment:

• Security & Backups: As the instance administrator, you are responsible for maintaining server firewalls, applying OS security patches, and managing database backups.
• TLS / SSL Encryption: We strongly advise configuring HTTPS reverse proxies (e.g., Nginx, Caddy, or Traefik) to protect user traffic in transit.
