Kairo is a presence and memory mobile application. It lets you detect trusted people nearby using Bluetooth, capture shared moments, private notes, and photos — all stored locally on your device with no public social feed.
Kairo optionally connects to your personal Google Drive (via a private appDataFolder) to store an AES-256 encrypted backup of your data — protected by a recovery code only you hold.

Nearby Bluetooth Presence
Detects trusted people nearby using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and GATT with rotating privacy-preserving identifiers.
Moments, Notes & Memory
Capture shared moments with notes, timestamps, approximate location tags, and photos — all stored privately in Kairo's local app storage.
Encrypted Google Drive Backup
Optionally back up your data to your personal Google Drive's private appDataFolder. Archives are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before leaving your device. Google cannot read your data.
Optional Location Tagging
Attach an approximate location to a moment only when you choose. Kairo does not operate a public live-location map or share coordinates with third parties.
Photos & short clips
Capture photos or short clips in Kairo, or choose photos with Android's system picker. Media stays attached to the moment you chose.
Zero Data Sales & No Ads
Kairo does not sell personal data, embed ad networks, or operate a public social feed. Core features work fully offline without internet.
Why Kairo requests Google Drive access
Kairo uses the drive.appdata scope to store encrypted backup archives in your private Google Drive appDataFolder. This folder is invisible to you in Drive's file browser and inaccessible to other apps. Kairo uses this only for backup and restore — it never reads, writes, or accesses any other file in your Google Drive.
